    Default Sawtooth Star String Block

I don't have a picture to show you because my throw away camera has 27 prints to take before developing. I took the sawtooth star block idea to the next level using small 4 1/2 inch blocks for the center and 4 corners, then rest of the block was like it should be. I just loved this block done like that and the only problem was how to cut down on the bulk of the string blocks. Guessing I used a heavier foundation that was necessary. Is it possible to just sew string block with out a foundation?

When I made my sting blocks I used newspaper foundation. It tears off very easily. I have a tute in the tute section called Heart String's. Good luck!
