Default I've decided how I'm doing my Dear Jane

I'm getting ready to start the Dear Jane quilt in January. I've been struggling with the paperpiecing part of the small blocks but I found something that is going to work great.

Look at inklingo. I love Inklingo! Try it today!

I'm also using this to do Bonnie Hunter's Orca Bay Mystery Quilt and it works great. I can hardly wait to get started on the Dear Jane.

I made a resolution to start my DJ in January also. January 2010. And again January 2011. Still haven't started, but maybe in 2012?

For about the same money, you can buy the DJ software from EQ. Then you can print out all the templates for any block, and these would do the exact same thing as Inklingo, plus you would have all the shapes (not just the HST's and QST's). I don't usually use templates, but I might try this technique for some of the DJ blocks. Printing the template directly to the fabric is an interesting idea, although it does involve extra steps and I think you would wind up wasting more fabric. Still, to get perfect blocks without having to remove the paper from paper piecing it would be worth the effort. Thanks for the idea.

I was told you had to do ONE DJ in your lifetime. I hope I don't go soon, cuz that is a huge committment

I'm also getting my head around to starting DJ in January. Not specifying theyear, but my sewing buddy has done 41 blocks in about 3 weeks. I'm waiting for the infection to spread in my direction.

I want to do a DJ, its on my list. I have the software that was given to me but no rulers. I have learned recently that I enjoy hand sewing so the parts that are done by hand no longer frighten me. Will there be a group that is starting in Jan.? Would love to join if it is part of the board.
Happy Sewing Today
Tammy
