Default Heavy duty concern

I recently made a a jelly roll rug and loved it! What a great way to use up 21/2 strips. I have a Husqvarna Sapphire 875. It is my favorite machine. My concern is can this machine handle heavy duty sewing.

'Did you sew the rug on the Sapphire? I wouldn't consider the rugs the heaviest thing I've fed through my sewing machine (thick, but not terribly stiff).

If you did your rug on that machine, it should give you an idea, at least, of what your machine is willing to handle. I have a friend who sews on Pfaff's that couldn't get through multiple layers of fabric and stiff interfacing when making bags, but she did a rug without any problem.

I have a little Juki HZL-70W ( not a heavy duty machine) and had no problems

I have the Husqvarna Diamond and these things are tanks.

I mentioned as such to my husband and he said...ready? Well what do you expect? They also made my chainsaw!!!

I think your machine would have let you know, loudly, if she didn't like what you were feeding her. I bet you're okay

Been a long, long time since the company that makes the chain saws and the one making sewing machines shared anything but the name.
