Has anyone ever purchased ever purchased a Martelli Heavy Duty Cutting Mat? I was at a Quilt Show today and saw them. It has a great layout on the mat and there are several different sizes, but they are not cheap. Someone did say that a large Omnigrid was close to the same price. Would love to have a mat that is made as well as this one, but really want to know if someone else has used it and how did you like it????

I have one..it took a little bit to get used to the lines, mine are diff from the old mat I had. I have had it a couple of years. No cuts or gouges. I do not like the rotary cutter they sold with it.

I keep looking at them and the price keeps me from purchasing. I do love their rotary cutter. Maybe someday I will get a Martelli mat!!!!

Don't know about the mats but hate their rotary cutters.

I have the mat and like it better than the others. I also love the rotary cutter.

Thanks to all of you for your prompt replies and opinions. Now I am interested in the size you have, if you are happy with that size! I was not impressed with their rotary cutters, but in their catalog I picked up, they are coming out with a new one. I have several of my own rotary cutters which look so much sturdier that I think are much better!
