Default Help with border

Any suggestions for a border for this quilt? It’s my first quilt, all hand stitched and hand quilted

Do you need a border? It's beautiful as it is and it's all done being quilted. Just bind it and call it good! Your dark purple would make an awesome color to bind it with.

If you need it larger I would go with the light green. Beautiful quilt!! Are you sure this is your first quilt????

The modern way to finish it would be to just bind it off and call it good. I love that this is your first quilt. What a great job you did on it. Lots of techniques are in this top.

Lovely quilt! If you need it bigger, I might look for a large floral that has purple, lavender and green on a cream background and bind it in purple of green.

Congratulations on your 1st ... of many!
Beautifully done ...... and amazingly all hand stitched and hand quilted.

I agree with the others ... no border needed here.
Let the binding frame it off in one of the darks ... purple or the dark green.
Both would contrast nicely with the lighter shades of the individual block borders.
Which would coordinate and/or contrast the best with your backing fabric?

Is this a QAYG quilt? I thought I saw seams for the batting. Awesome job!

Beautiful! Those colors and hanquilting are a good combination! One quilt shop owner told me she didn’t see many borders at quilt shows/markets this past year. Rather the bindings were the finish. Unless you need it to be larger, just bind it and be done. It is gorgeous!
