We had a speaker at our guild, who said that your border color should be the color you want to bring out in the top. She even proved it by showing us with duplicate quilts that had different borders!
For example if you want to bring out the deep purple in your top, then use the deep purple. If you want the green to pop, then use the green.

Love your quilt. I personally think borders are like a picture frame for our quilts, though some don’t need one. I would put various widths of your main colors as multiple borders.

I would put a border around it of any colors that are not around the blocks so it would be a frame. Then add border strips to the size you want. I did a "ribbon" border on a panel quilt and it really finished it off nicely.

I'm not a border person but I tend to run heavy into scrappy and modern type stuff. I would put a lovely green narrow binding on and then put it on my bed! (after I took pics for my Instagram pals) AMAZING JOB!

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing. I am always in awe of people who do hand work -- please accept a round of applause from a safe social distance!
