Needed to find an inexpensive sewing machine for my granddaughter. I bought a New Home 535--older model but when I tried it out there, it sewed a great stitch. After cleaning and oiling it, I find that when setting a normal stitch length, it periodically makes little loops on the bottom (bobbin) side. Also, the needle is all the way over to the left side of the presser foot--no obvious needle position adjustment. Anyone know how to fix this?

Lola, I would check with our machine shop experts, lostn51 and Charlee.

I did a search and found this site. I have used it for other appliances. Perhaps you can get more information from others who own this model, through this site. This may be something you can fix yourself.

New Home made some really good machines. I have 2 that are 20+ years old and never have a problem with them.
