Can you please give me suggestions on which of these two borders you would use or would you use both and if so what sizes?

The first picture is of my dissapearing nine patch quilt top and the second is of the two fabrics I have from this collection that I have enough of for the borders.

The light green will be the backing fabric and I have a stripe for the binding.

This is only my second quilt so I am having a bit of a problem deciding on which border or borders to put on this top.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Both fabrics are pretty, but I prefer the red

I would do a 4-6 inch red, depending how big you want your quilt, maybe the binding could be the other fabric. Very pretty quilt

I agree with border suggestions here and that quilt is super. I will have to do one too. I think I have those fabrics too. Happy quilting. You are off to a great start.

I am thinking the red, because the top has a bunch of the green, but not that much red.... so I think I would go with the red...

I'd go with a wide red border, with the binding also in red.

Not to be different but I would do a 2" border of the red to frame the center. Then a 5 or 6" border of the green. Binding in the red. Can you tell I like multiply borders.
Can't wait to see what you do.

I like to do a small border in a color that will frame the quilt first, like the red, and then a larger outer border.
