That is a beautiful quilt. I would use white or invisible thread especially if you are planning on a motif in the light blocks.

I think I would use invisable thread. You could see the quilting but not the thread color where not wanted.

my choice would be red...it would show on all your beautiful fabrics...

it really is a gorgeous quilt...wonderful job...cant wait to see it finished
