Default Help My machine is breaking needles

Hi, Can anyone help me figure out why my needle is hitting to the left on the presser plate and breaking needles? I can't find my manual anywhere, and I am making my grandson a baby quilt. Thanks for any help.

perhaps it is not set to the center. mine shows on the monitor where the needle is, do you have that or something showing you where your needle is? you might try looking on the internet for your make and model. there is usually info out there. breaking needles can harm your machine and make the metal rough where they hit.

Have you tried using a new needle, sometimes they are bent. Are you using a straight stitch plate or zig zag because straight stitch can only be on one setting

1.check for bent needle. 2. Check for zig zag hole plate and not single hole plate. 3.check to make sure you haven't pressed the button to move the needle position off center. 4. Make sure you are not pulling/ pushing the fabric....all I can think of

Also check to see if your foot is screwed in tightly. I had a machine that the screw would loosen over time and get in the way of the needle.
