Default HELP! Need ideas for Girl's Quilt

Need a quick quilt for a little girl who has outgrown her crib quilt. Would like to give it to her when I give a crib quilt to the new baby brother in June. She loves pink and purple. I just can't get my head around this quilt and need ideas. Thanks!

Well you could add a third color eithe white or a white pink purple print make hst's in whatever size you want. Now you have a plethora of layout choices, chevrons, diagonal lines, spirals, pinwheels, the list is endless.

I would make a quilt that is larger than a crib quilt but not a bed size quilt. Then make a matching tote bag for it to fit into. That way she will be able to move it around from room to room or take with her when she goes out. If she has favorite doll I would make a matching set for the doll too.

Pink and Purple fabrics gives you an opportunity to pick from almost all the basic quilt patterns. Warm Wishes is an easy quilt to make and is also FREE. An old favorite of the board is a D9P and Falling Charms. She is going to be delighted with whatever pattern you choose.

I have made Warm Wishes & Turning Twenty for my granddaughters. Both were easy & quick to make, I find simple lines work better for kids. I always make a pillow case to use with the quilt or to use to store the quilt in too.

Add some pink and white and do pinwheels. I have never done any so I don't know if they are easy enough, but pinwheels are what my granddaughter just picked out for her quilt.

I think a dresden plate in pinks and purples would be so pretty.....maybe you could make them into "flowers" with stems and leaves?

There are lots of princess fabrics out there that are pink and purple. Then just use a basic block. I did the Wacky Web quilt and in the main portion I used the section in the middle for a picture and made it more of an I Spy version and then used strips with rainbow colors for the web area. The wacky web quilt has a video tutorial on the MSC website. When I saw the block the first time, I saw it as 4 point stars not webs - but then I always do kind of see things different than others.
