How do you transfer pictures to fabric? Would like to make a quilt for sisters and brother from Moms clothes and include a picture of her on it. We just lost her in July in freak accident. any info appreciated deeply,I am new to all this. Thank you in advance.

I use the pretreated blocks you get in a package. I got mine at Hobby Lobby. Run them through your printer following the instructions on the package. I have made one it turned out real well.

if you are going to do a lot of pictures, it may be more cost effective to buy a roll of photo fabric ..JoAnn's sells it (other places might too). Using a coupon, it's a pretty good deal. Be sure to follow the instructions to a tee in order to "set" the ink......sorry about your mom.

Crafty,

Have you washed your quilt with the photo transer fabric?
I'm just wondering if the picture stays on, or if it bleeds when you wash it.

So sorry for your loss but, I know your siblings will truly enjoy the quilts. They will get 2 for 1! A quilt made by you with your Mom's clothing!
