Default Salvation Army Score

I always drool over those folks who get a great deal at a resale shop or garage sale. Well, today was my day. Sadly, it looked like someone cleaned out grandma's stash. There were dozens of bundles of fabric, all kind of grouped by color. They weighed about 10# each and were a mixture of quilting cottons and upholstery fabrics. I chose 2 bundles based on some cotton fabric peeking out, one had canoes and another had fish, rods and creels. We just got a cottage, so I was looking for outdoorsy stuff. The bundles were $7, but were 25% off. When I got home, I found there were 5 yards EACH of the 2 prints I liked. Probably 10 additional yards of assorted cottons, and several 3 yard pieces of upholstery fabric that will make nice bags. I will be redonating about 1/3 of it as I know I won't use it, but I figure I got about 30 yards of fabric that I'm keeping for $11.25. I also got a brass Stiffel floor lamp for $7.50

Great find. Now when will it be my turn to get a deal like this? I guess I have to start going to sales first.
