Has anyone ever used Organ needles in their Viking Designer SE? Schmetz needles are recommended.

Have not heard of Organ needles. Always use Schmetz in my Viking Designer II.

Recommended doesn't mean required or only. Organ needles are pretty good needles. I have used the titanium ones for embroidery.

Organ is the top of the line needles. I love the titanium coated ones, they last much longer then the regular needles. Most new machines come with Organ needles.

I love Organ Needles, have used them for years with my embroidery and recently with regular sewing. I bougt them originally from a place in N.C. on the net and paid like a $1.00 for a package of 5. Does that tell you how long ago it's been

Just went to this site (allbrands) and in their introduction they said Organ needles are designed specifically for machines made in Japan/Asia. They recommend Schmetz for European made sewing machines and Brazilian made needles for Singer sewing machines.

So . .. has anyone actually used Organ needles in a Viking? I'm hesitant to use these needles if they aren't meant for a European machine.

I have a Designer SE, a Designer 1, and a Sapphire 870. I use Organ needles in all of them with no trouble. My husband is (was...retired due to health issues) a sewing machine technician and he puts Organ needles in the machines he services too.
