I recently saw a tote bag that starts with 3 big squares at the bottom, sewn together at one corner, then up the sides, then other squares set into the other sides, etc., about 3 rows. When you pick it up it is kind of rounded on the bottom, not flat like a purse. Anyone recognize this description?

Hi - I think you are refering to the Schlep Bag. Here is a link to a free pattern

Thanks, Watterstide, but that's not it. It's the Sew Easy Schlep Bag posted by eparys. What a great bag!!! A friend at the quilt guild has one that someone made for her, but she didn't know the name of the pattern. Thanks!!! I can't wait to make one!!

Thank you for asking about this bag, jljack!

I think I may have to try this pattern too!
