Your quilt is beautiful. I am a professional quilter, If it were mine, I would = in the ditch around the applique.
Curved quarter inch every triangle square i.e all piecing. by the time you make it to the boarders, you will have the curved quarter inch in your brain, I would continue it into the border even if there is no triangles-act like they are.

Your baby quilt is just beautiful, gorgeous, awesome etc.!!!!

I am no help with the fmq. I have only made 2 quilts in class and only stitch in the ditch. I am learning from this wonderful board and this thread. I will fmq my next quilt.

I think whatever you do will be just wonderful and the new baby and family will love it.

Did you use a pattern for this quilt, or did you design it yourself?

Thanks, Nancy O.

picture a square, quilting one side of the square, start quilting from one corner of the square, gracefully extending out 1/4" and ending back at the next corner - now go to the next corner, extending out 1/4" and back to the next corner - am I clear? did you ever see the japanese shorbi (spelling?)quilting it ends up looking like interlocking circles, I will try to find something and post, hard to do today, I am at work. this can be continuous throughout the entire quilt without stopping and starting again.

Oops, I was supposed to post a close-up picture for you when I got home last night. It was too crazy. Here I am at work again and cannot post a picture. I'm sorry.

Can someone show her close up of some meandering?
