I have decided to set my 12 1/2 inch blocks on point and for the life of me I can't remember how big to make the triangles for the corners and the sides. I think I am having a brain freeze because of the weather. Can someone help please?

I wish I could help you, but triangles baffle me. I make my blocks to fit the triangles...

There's a ruler for that! LOL Seriously, there's a setting triangle ruler.

I make full blocks attach to quilt and then cut off the excess.

Formula = finsihed block size (12) x 1.414 + 1.25, then round up to the nearest quarter inch.

cut squares 18.25 inches, then cut twice on the diagonal for your side triangles.

For the four corners of your quilt, cut 2 squares, 9.5 inches. Cut each square once on the diagonal.
