Someone mentioned earlier that it is hard to remove the paper hexagon. I use a one-hole punch on all of my paper hexagons. When removing, I just use the tweezers against the hole punched in the paper and remove it very easily.

I have that book and have tried hexies that way...they certainly are easier to make...not sure about the bulk though.....am going to buy the large circle die for my GO after holidays and work with that.

I love making hexies - so relaxing. I make my own hexies and like CGail, I also punch a hole in the middle then remove them with a crochet hook. Easy! I have lots of flowers made but haven't decided exactly what my quilt design will be, but I hope it turns out nice.

Do you have holes in your template to mark the corners. Looking for a quick way to mark.

I love making the hexagons. It is so relaxing. I am working on GFG and just need to put a final border of hexagons on top. It will be my first hand pieced quilt and I hope to hand quilt it also.
