First time I've seen this pattern but I like it. I think a jelly roll would work fine as long as you get the color variations. Good luck with your quilt jannm; and thank you coyotequilts for the link.

I taught a class where a gal used different fabrics in her hidden wells quilt. It came out beautifully, but the design that you usually see was different. If you haved found fabrics you love, go for it. I had some problems understanding the reddawn.net sight, so after I made my first quilt, I wrote a tutorial on my blog. You might want to take a peek at it and see if it is of any help to you! Just a warning it's long with lots of photos.
