Default Label wording ..........

Would love some wording ideas for quilt labels for my unborn granddaughter.

Thankyou.

I took this one from another thread, it was my favorite for baby:

A package of joy, a bundle of bliss, this quilt for baby was sealed with a kiss

I can't beat what trif has suggested, tho I would amend it slightly by taking out the word "baby" and inserting either your expected granddaughter's name or "you."

(But then, I'm one of those people who's always hated it when people refer to a child as "the baby." That habit probably comes from a time when children weren't necessarily expected to survive. But times have changed, and I think every baby deserves to be referred to by name rather than by category. JMHO, of course.)

Hugs and Snuggles from (insert what your grandkids call you, or what you'd like them to call you).

I often put in both my name and my husband's because he does most of the cooking and cleaning when I'm quilting, and he also helps me make color/design decisions. I also put my rightful name and the date somewhere (for the next generation .

I put the title of the quilt, 'by' your proper name....3 generations from now, no one will know who 'Grammy' was.... 'for' again their proper name, and then, if appropriate, birthdate, weight, parents' name or reason for gifting, i.e., 3rd birthday, etc. AND the date, either of the appropriate occasion, (birthday, anniversary, wedding) and include the ENTIRE date. Then put label on the back of the quilt and make sure it is securely mounted so it doesn't come 'undone' accidently.
