HOBO QUILTS, by Debra G. Henninger
I've eyed this book for awhile and I finally broke down and bought it from Amazon. It arrived yesterday. This is a beautiful and fascinating book! There's a lot of history and lore about, "ridin' the rails," and some great photography from the Library of Congress, including images from the great depression photographer, Dorthea Lange. I'm anxious to get started on the blocks. Has anyone else done a, "Hobo Quilt?"

I have the book and love the many quilt patterns. The stories are quite interesting, what a stressful time that must have been for men trying to provide for their families. My grandmother used to give bread and coffee at her farm if someone stopped.
