I'm new, so this might not be the right section. I have a quilt top (for my Granddaughter). It is twin size and she does not want any batting inside. What is the best way to put a back on the quilt top and have it a stabilized blanket type quilt?

I have used a blanket as the backing with out additional batting. Sure saves a lot of time!

you could just put a piece of flannel between, if you want it warmer..fleece. is it that she doesnt want weight, fluff, etc. you never know what kids are thinking...do you think she thinks bats are going inside?lol

You can just back it and then quilt it. No need for any type of batting :D:D:D

Like Amma said you could just back it and quilt it. I do think tho as Great Aunt Jacqui said flannel would be good to. It would give it just a bit of umph so to speak and not be heavy but would stabilize the quilt more. But also as TonniLoree said you could just add a blanket for the batting.

My suggestion would be to clarify with your granddaughter exactly the look/feel/weight she was was desiring...sometimes we say one thing but actually mean something else entirely.
