I have not been to Houston since they moved there so I don't know where their house is in relation to the quilt show. I sure hope you get it and all contents back. So sad that this country has come to this, such sorry low lives to steal because they are so lazy and too sorry to make a living and buy their own.
Here's the info on the trailer http://abc13.com/society/a-trailer-f...hotel/1581901/

So sorry to be reading this today or any other day. I hope you get it all back. That person is a rotten human person and I hope he or she pays for it. Apparently, they have no blessings. I hope you get it back soon.

Quilt Shop Gal . com has information and pictures about the theft. There is also a GoFundMe account set up to help.

When we have the trailer and have to unhitch, we always use tire locks/clocks. https://www.google.com/search?q=trai...02285373259454

They recently posted that the cameras at the hotel were not working, even though they were only 2 weeks old!

So very, very sad. I am thinking the perps may have taken the trailer for the trailer itself, probably to be used for another purpose, and as Bluelady commented, they will probably dump all of the contents. What a devastating loss; I hope the authorities find the trailer and its contents undamaged.

l was hoping against hope that this was some wise guys pulling a mean Hallowe'en prank, and that the trailer would be found intact. But now it seems someone may have hoped to find motorcycles or an ATV or something. As many stated, quilting goods are hard to resell. l pray Jamie & family can somehow manage to carry on at the show. lf they get another trailer, l'm sure there will be a gps finding device and wheel locks installed. l think a fancy paint job showing quilts etc might also help.

This is definitely a very upsetting thing to happen to anyone. But being a dummy regarding trailers, hook ups, etc., a question popped into my little mind. So this vehicle w trailer attached, was parked along a curb on a frontage road....no cars behind it? How does one unhitched a trailer?, it would take more than one person to "push that thing backwards far enough to be able to " hitch" it to something else? Timeframe on this manuever?
also, interesting how the cameras on hotel were not operating even though only two weeks old...no one checks them on a daily basis...and one would think since there is this huge gathering in the town, the facility would be even more watchful.....for their own reputation-sake....

someone mentioned that a similar thing happened several yrs ago....was the trailer and contents ever recovered?

I would say the contents are in Mexico now. No way to get them back.

My DD had her car windows broken out and all contents of her car stolen. She was moving and had her car packed. She parked right next to the front lobby as it was well lit and front desk was open all night. The highly rated chain motel said it wasn't their problem but would be happy to call the police for her. The desk clerk said he heard a noise but wasn't allowed to leave the front desk area to check it out. The security camera wasn't working. The manager claimed he had no idea it wasn't working. Thought it was. Bottom line is you snooze you may lose.
