Default How Do I Adjust The Life On This Sewing Machine Table?

I just bought this sewing table on Kijiji, and brought it home today. My question is, how do I adjust the height of the shelf where the machine sits? There are two parts on the lifts that have black nuts on them. I assume that I have to adjust the nuts on both spots. Are there any experts on sewing tables that can help me out?

Above is a more distant shot of the shelf; you can see the mechanism at the centre, in black.

I don't think you adjust the nuts. I think it is supposed to lift or go down some other way. but I don't know how. My sister has one and someone else fixed it.

Yes, the height can be adjusted so that it winds up right where you want it. Maybe these instructions will help - http://www.rockler.com/tech/RTD10000599AB.pdf

Ahh, question makes sense now. I was wondering about adjusting the "life" of a table, from your post title, and got really confused

Thank you for the info...I have a new Horn system and they didn't know how it adjusted...my Janome is sitting on two books in the frame, so now I guess I'll go fix it!
