um yeah, the first d9p ended up being 2 goodsized crib quilts cause someones math was a bit off :roll:

I usually start making blocks that I like and see where that takes me. Sometimes I start out with a purpose in mind that dictates, at least, a general small, medium or large, but other than that I usually keep going until it looks right.

I laugh when people ask me how big the quilt is going to be. I have a reasonable idea but then the project decides what it is going to do.

It really depends on the quilt, if it is a quilt I design, I make it to fit a bed, otherwise, I try to make them at least large lap/small twin size... but they do turn out however they turn out sometimes!

I usually try to plan my quilts out, but sometimes they have a mind of their own. More often than not, they turn out the size they turn out. (Most are large lap size/twin bed to king size)

Sometimes I know how big it is going to be and other times,It is when I quit. That's how big it will be.

Mine are started with a plan in mind but as it often happens, my quilts develop plans of their own....

i ususally know how big i want it. but sometimes after it is together if i really like colors i add and make it bigger.
