Right now I have to finish a queen bed quilt by August 1. I'm going to quilt it in sections-new to me. Then I have a sock monkey baby quilt for my DGS coming soon. Then a quilt for my DIL both of these need to be finished by end of Sept. Before we go visit Texas to see new baby. Then I have a quilt to make for Mil for Christmas and one to be quilted for SIL for Christmas. Then if I have time, I want to make a quilt for my DD for Christmas. If I don't make it for that, her birthday is Feb. And I can give it to her then.

Let's see, hummmmmmmmmmm, I have an apron to make with a GMFG somewhere on it for guild challenge, courthouse steps for a retreat challenge, candlequilters star that is giving me fits, Christmas critters for our mini group challenge, baby quilt going to the phillipines in Oct. oh and last another baby quilt for our granchild due in January. Not necessarily in that order.

I try to sneak in an occasional treat for myself. Usually as I do more than about 2 hours I start to feel guilty and go back and finish the current(s) gifts  :XD:

I always have a list and the projects keep moving in order of priority. I just finished two baby quilts. One baby arrived on the 28th and the other is due this month. I have my daughters brocade quilt I have been working off and on.... as it ravels and I really am glad it is pieced finally. Next on the list are two bedspreads for my son's condo in Destin (open to rentals. on the beach), along with two pillow cases and pillows. Next... pillow cases for my granddaughter, Lily...to use up fabric I have. Still need to sew together fabric postcards for military (project 5th graders did not do) Made a quilt for a friend who spends her life working on projects and fundraisers for military. And the list goes on... so many patterns I would like to make for family and me. I have four quilts I will be taking to quilter in a couple of weeks. On and on and on......

I have pages of quilt ideas to use up. What I don't always have is someone in mind for the quilt.

I have 10 quilt tops hanging in my craft closet waiting to be hand quilted. I am hand quilting a queen size quilt now and I am about to layer another one to begin hand quilting on Thursday after getting it layered and pinned on Wed. That one is a Christmas gift and it 105x105.

I do donate a quilt to the Women's Ministry every year for their Silent Auction. Just finished a commissioned baby quilt.

Otherwise, I make them because I want to. However, I am cutting out a quilt for my youngest daughter and that is my next quilt to piece.

I have neglected my art work to make quilts and that is not good. I love doing both. Gotta fiqure out how to get both in my day...I am good at using my time wisely, but I must confess that when I am at the machine piecing, I have to check myself constantly so I will not go over the time I have allowed myself at any given time. Oh, that is hard...

I have promised each of our grandchildren a quilt. So I begin with the oldest and work my way to the newborn coming this month. I am allowing each child to chose the pattern and colors.

I have had a recent health scare and I feel the need to finish up some projects that I have had going for a while. For some reason I like making the blocks but have a hard finishing the quilt. I keep feeling like I should get the blocks put together and ready for the quilter then it wouldn't be hard to get the quilt finished if I should need one of them.
