Great fabric, but maybe less is more. Keep us posted.

Paired up with solids, as you plan, these would DEFINITELY get onlookers into the spirit (pun intended)of the Drunkard's Path :-)

With wonderful fabrics like these I don't see how you can resist not having one of your quilts having an optical illusion effect.

I had to come back and clarify that I plan to pair these fabrics up with a solid. Probably a blue on one and a brown on the other. Now, what do you think?
Should be interesting-----if you don't get too dizzy sewing it.

OOOH, the only way I could work on this is in small pieces. I love the blue (would look nice on a solid brown).

I think if it's cut small enough it may work.

Wow, not sure how it will look, but you could cut enough for one block and peice it and see how you like it.

If I am not sure about the outcome of a block I make copies of the fabric on DH copier and "assemble" the blocks with the paper prints. No fabric wasted.

I would really like to know where from you have it. Someone posted a pic from a quilt with similar looking sashing and that looked great.
