I had a 25 year old singer and hated sewing with it, replacing it with a Janome has made sewing a pleasure again.

My experience with Janome has been positive.

I just bought a Horizon in Feb. A major factor in deciding upon it was the fact that I have a Kenmore badged Janome, very basic, that has gone through everything, including being knocked off the cabinet twice by my furbabies, and kept right on ticking. I've had that machine more than 10 years, a true workhorse. The Horizon has been a wonderful machine, really still learning on it. I have a BabyLock I bought in between and I do like the Janomes better, although I can't say anything bad about the BabyLock. I just prefer the feel of the Janome.

I have had a Janome 350e for 4 yrs and absolutely love it. My goal is to purchase another Janome before the end of the year, but haven't decided which model yet.

I love my Janome! It's been a work horse for me and hasn't had one tantrum yet, in many, many years!

I love my Janome's. I also do a lot of garment sewing and the biggest complaint I have is that the buttonholer can be a pain, but I still bought a new 7700 because of everything I love and a good dealer and repair man.

I just bought a Janome 7700 and a Janome 3160 as my class machine. I haven't used the 3160 other than in the store.

Re: the 7700, I'm waiting for my O2 foot after which I think I'll be more satisfied with the stitching over multiple layers when piecing.

I looked at the new Vikings but they felt flimsy. The Janome 7700 felt so much more substantial and was one reason why I purchased it.

I am - though - feeling a little sad about my Viking 1+ which I plan to sell and I think that sadness is somewhat hindering my ability to love my Janome. :(
