How to finish edges of a machine quilt

I am making a machine quilt and I have never done this before. How do I finish the edges? The quilt is white, both top and bottom and has pictures on it.

Jean, I just sent a machine quilt I did for my mother. I did the edges with the same decorative stitch that I used to quilt it. I found it just make the hem/edging look like part of the quilting better.
