Default Trip Around The World Help

I am looking at this pattern on Quiltville. I do not understand this part:
After pressing, take and fold your panels in half by bringing the two edge strips right sides together. Stitch down this side turning the panels into "tubes".

Just not sure which way to fold...doesn't really show you. Bottom to top or side to side.

Thanks for you help.

I believe she means to fold the length of it and sew the short sides together.

You start off by sewing strips together; then when you get enough strips together you sew the first strip to the last strip and you have a tube. Like strip #1 to strip #15. This is the way I was taught to make mine and it is so much easier than sewing all of those little pieces together. You need to make sure as you cut you tube into section that after about every 2 to 3 cuts you square it up again to that it stays straight. I hope this helps.

romanojg's explanation is correct- after sewing your strips together- you sew the last strip to the first strip forming a tube- then cut your segments from this tube.
once you do the first one it will all make sense
be sure & show us pictures! we love to see them

Easiest way to do TAW is using 9 patch squares but you would need a pattern.
