Oops misread your post but haven't had the error problem yet. Good idea on space bags.

I LOVE space bags.. I use them for everything imaginable.. I even have travel space bags, that fit into the suit case and u roll the air out instead of using a vac!

I tried to do a new post yest. but have no idea what happened to it. I also tried to include a pix but it didn't seem to show up either. Very frustrated with the new board.
I had an important question about how I should finish quilting a very complex Bargello quilt I'm working on. I was really relying on all of you with advice.

I have been there! I have used space bags for a while. When I buy a project's worth of fabric, but I'm not ready to work on it and I want to stash it away I use the smaller bags. If I get tired of a project and I want it out of the way until I can get up the patience for it - I put it and it's accompanying not cut fabric etc all in a space bag and store it away - flat, small and contained.

I highly recommend this method!!!

I love your idea. Right now I only have one queen size batting for my DJ quilt I am making. I love the post about the batting exploding in the car by auntpiggylpn. Too funny. I once bought some yarn and when you took the label off it grew and grew and grew. And when you worked on it, I swear the skein got bigger and bigger and it seemed like I would never use it up.

My grandson took all my space bags when he moved off to college and has not returned them. I had gotten them for my daughter when she went to college 10 years ago and she sent them home promptly because she didn't have room to store them! LOL

I use a space bag to store batting pieces in but, it sprung a leak and won't stay flat. I still use it for storage.
