Default How long does it take you to hand bind a queen sized quilt?

How long does it take you to hand-bind a 60 x 60 inch quilt that you have machine sewed
the binding on, and then you are hand binding it on the other side?
How long does it take you to hand-bind a queen sized quilt? (Same kind of binding as above.)

I would say about 3 hours for the small one, 4-5 hours for the large one.

I'd say about that long. I hand sew in the evening while watching TV. Takes one evening for a lap quilt and two for a queen.

I agree - usually I will do it over a couple of evenings - unless I need to finish asap.

I never really time myself. I just did a 86 x 98" quilt and make small stitches. I just try to race the clock or a talk radio program. I try not to think of how much time it takes me. I mainly do large quilts.

over the years with lots of practice i have managed to get so i can do a queen sized quilt in 2-3 hours *normally* sometimes i may work on it for an hour or so...usually around 2 corners...then set it aside & finish it the next time i pick it up...small quilts are about an hour-maybe 2...depending on how small..when i first started it took me 5 or 6 i'd guess to do a queen- i pretty much never managed to finish them in one sitting- might be a week- now i can usually get one done during a movie-or baseball game.

My hands don't work as well as they have in the past so I do one side a night while watching TV if it is a queen size. Although I have a friend who likes to sew by hand and she sometimes takes them home and does them for me.

takes me about 8 hours to do a queen quilt. I just put a good movie or music on and stitch away.
I love every step of quilt making and don't feel the push to hurry up

I just finished sewing down the binding on a 65" square quilt and did it over 3 evenings.

I think about 5 hours. I usually do it over 2-3 days.
