Default Qnique quilter

Just ran across a Facebook page for this. It seems to be from the Grace company. Does anyone have any experience with this machine?

I saw that ad too. I couldn't find much about it. I will be interested to see if anyone has any experience with it.

It's a new mid-arm quilting machine form the Grace Company. There's information about it on its web site: http://www.qniquequilter.com/. (Detailed info about it is on the "features" page).
There aren't many reviews yet, but some people on their Facebook page have it and love it. There's a cool video of it too.

Be aware that you really don't have as much quilting space as the length of the throat...you have your roller there (take away about 2") and as you wind the quilt on the take-up roller, you lose inches. I have an 18" throat and even on the first pass, I cannot quilt a 12" block set on-point without rolling the quilt back and forth. If I were to buy another longarm (probably not!!) I would not get one that is less than a 22" throat. Also, I would not buy a longarm without trying out it out! I find that some of them are really hard for me to quilt on - looks like a kid playing and I've had my longarm for 6 years! Also, it may be just me, but the sound that some of them make as you use them would give me a headache really fast! If you can, visit some larger quilt shows and check out all the longarms before you buy anything. Also, find out what kind of support they have - you don't want to have a problem on Friday night at 6 and have to wait until Monday to call someone! With my longarm, I have 24/7/365 free tech service I can call and they have been able to walk me through any problem I have had - I even called on Christmas day afternoon!!

The Qnique quilter being sold by the Grace Company is the same machine as the Block RockiT being sold by KathyQuilts.com. KathyQuilts designed the machine and had first opportunity to sell it way back in March. The owners of KathyQuilts gave this explanation: The Block RockiT is the machine that is branded just for Kathy Quilts, Q’nique 14+ is the Grace Company’s branded machine that they will sell to other dealers. KathyQuilts sells and provides excellent support for their products. I have the Block Rocket and love it. Quilt for myself only and this machine is affordable and easy to use.

I too have the BlockRockiT and love it. It has a lot of features the much more expensive machine have for a much better price. And the support from both Kathy Quilts and the Grace Company can't be beat!

Thanks for sharing this info - looks much more affordable than others I've looked at!

Can you say what the dollar difference is between the two machines? This very interesting to me. I bought an older Tin Lizzie that runs when plugged in but thats all I know about it other than the awesome Estate sale I got it for. I don't even know how to use one, BUT if it doesn't work properly I will be looking to trade it in. Now that I've found that Mid Arms can be put on frames I am interested in the price difference in these two identical machines. Thank You.

Most shops are selling them for $3299. If you call and talk to Lynn (the owner) at KathyQuilts, you should be able to get it at the introductory price, depending on when/or if you would decide to order. He is very easy to talk to and doesn't mind taking calls. I paid $2899 for mine in March
