Four in my first yr. of quilting (yeah!) == thank's to you people; great photos, great descriptions, lessons, etc. I made three queen size and one twin size. Currently working on another queen size. Don't mind if I don't make into the 100's but hope to continue to polish my skills (cutting, 1/4" seams, binding, and fmq). It's such a satisfying hobby!

I've often wondered, but have long since stopped counting or even keeping a documentation. Mine are probably closer to 300 as well, since 1982.

Over 70 for charity but those were just crib size to lap....kids at a safe house and such. Beyond that probably another 30 but I couldn't calculate those. I don't consider it as a hobby, just therapy.

Created my first quilt in 1974. Since then, probably in the hundreds, more likely 200s. Most of them were queen sized, just recently started to make lap quilts. All were hand quilted or tied. I have not been brave enough to try machine quilting. Some day soon.

Interesting question, I'll go back through and read all the answers with my afternoon tea.

I haven't a clue. I have been quilting since 1970, as a passion, not just once in awhile.

I don't make charity, quickie strip type quilts, or baby quilts. I used to make a lot of wall quilts as a way to learn a new technique. I haven't seen anything new in many years now

I do piece all my backs but I wouldn't even call them very simple.
I've worked full time all my life.

And I guess it all depends on what you call a quilt! Depending on how you look at it, a mug rug or postcard could be called a quilt.

So a lot of variables can go into that number.

No idea how many I have made but I have photographs of only 70 of them. I've made quite a few more than that, but no, not 200. I wouldn't compare myself to anybody else, so if you've only done 5 quilts over 10 years, don't beat yourself up about it. People have different skills, speeds, sizes and time allotments. I have multiple hobbies as I'm sure others do as well. I only recently started making lap quilts - most of mine are full sized but I've requests for smaller ones. I haven't finished a SINGLE quilt this year due to family issues, health issues of my own and remodeling.

Stopped countingg a few yrs back at 350, this does not include wall quilts. They were all hand quilted except the first two tied and 3 that were sent out for long arm. One of those three was pcd ny hand and long armed...my sons college quilt, you never know whats gonna happen there. Im now hand quilting a gfg, 3/4" hexs, my kitty is getting it, it doesnt match anything and she loves it so she getsit.

Gosh I have made so many quilts since the 70's I've lost count, not counting baby quilts and wall hangings, table runners, placemats, etc. I have 8 kids and each one has at least 3 quilts, The grand kids all have one. the greats and then for family and dear friends weddings and then my private stash of quilts I've lost count. It is my favorite past time. I have 5 made again and the girls will all get another before Christmas, currently working on 2, have 2 to be machine quilted...and so it goes. Am into making scrap quilts now as I have a huge stash that at 79 I will never have time to use it all. Keep quilting, it adds up before you know it. I've hand quilted most of the ones before 2000 but now they go out to be machine quilted.
