Default How Much to Charge

Can any of you provide suggestions about how much to charge for a Tshirt mosaic quilt? I have made several Tshirt block style quilts but this lady wants a mosaic quilt which will definitely take a little more planning and time. I normally charge per block/shirt but not sure how to charge for the mosaic quilt.
Help please...

About what size will the quilt be finished? Can you translate into an average number of shirts? Like say a 20 shirt quilt (in a 4 x 5 layout) is about 60" x 75" (assuming each block is 15" - change as necessary). Use this as your base price and add either a percentage or a dollar amount upcharge for the custom layout.

Go to the Too Cool T-shirt quilt website and see what they charge. Base your price on that.

An easy way would be: twice the work, twice the price.

I would also suggest looking at other places online that do t-shirt quilts. You can get an idea of what they charge and decide your price.

Great job! did you end up using iron on interfacing on the back of the T-shirt block? I just wonder because I would like to make quilt without the interfacing but am not sure how to stabilize it.

I suggest you read this before you decide on a final price.

There is a free invoice template that you can fill in with your own figures at the bottom of this page.
