are you sure it wasn't a set of 4 fat quarters. I usually pay about 2-2.50 a piece for them

Was it Liberty of London fabric? That stuff is $30+ a yard, so a $10 FQ would actually make sense.

I bought a bundle of fats for way too much but will be more watchful next time, usually buy from the bolt...where I shop, it's more economical than fats. An exception is at Tueday morning where they have some nicely reduced prices. At Hancocks in no little rock, I bought some beautiful, nice quality blue houndstooth patterned fabric for $1.59/yd. bought all that was left on the bolt.

The only place that I have seen fabric this expensive was in France, and I surely did not buy any.

I paid $20 for 7 FQs today (in a clearance basket) in my LQS. The basket had just been restocked so I was able to get 7 light FQs, even better. FQs here usually cost about $6.50 each (Tasmania, Australia).

I just bought four FQ Bundles (5 FQ) for $399 each at Tuesday Morning, it was high quality fabric too. Would have bought more if they had them.

I don't buy many charm packs but if it's for 42 then that's what I've seen them for. I've noticed some packs seem to have 20 in them (though the price reflects that somewhat).

I don't really buy fat quarters anymore, seems the cost never a good deal.

Prices like that are out of line. Are you sure that the price is not for a line of Fat Quarters? I've picked up Fat Quarters like that, but it was for a project and all I needed to do was add the usual stuff (sashing, batting and backing). If this is an online purchase, contact customer services with your questions (ie:how many Fat Quarters do you get at this price?). Good luck
