Hi All,
I know there was a short thread about taking photographs of quilts, and I looked up the links. But I rather got lost in the directions.... I do not have an expensive camera, it's ok..... I can get good pics of the quilts themselves.
But someone share with me, what lighting, or lack thereof, should I use to show off my hand quilting? I just can't quite get it to show the pattern in the stitches well.... Any help ?

experiment with having a light off to the side a little so that small shadows will show up where the stitches pull the top down/in...you may not see the actual stitch, but the shadows will show where they are.

I just think it's trial & error. To much light or too little can cause problems. I think natural light works best for me as well as getting the right angle.
