Have fabric with some 7 " dolls -with a 30's look so bought the other fabric that has the clothes . Planning a quilt with pocket for the clothes. BUT, I think the clothes
need some kind of backing on it so it will cling to the doll and not fall off.
Called friend who suggested " iron on " product then we thought of flannel which we may have seen at a quilt
show last yr. For anyone who has seen these would you
please tell me any info as I have been waiting days to get to this project. My thoughts were that the cloth alone would not be stiff enough to handle if it was a dress.
Will post pic when done

I fused flannel to the back of the dresses with heat-n-bond super. The flannel sticks to the dolls with no problem.

Demo at the LQS had felt and then they sprayed it with the 505 spray to hold the clothes to the dolls. It seemed to be working OK.

I used a relatively stiff plastic for the back of the dolls and a one-sided fusible fabric for the clothes. Then, I glued on small squares of velcro on the doll and on the clothes--two "matched" places seems to be enough. This has worked well.

heat n bond heavy and flannel is a great way to go! gives the clothing enough (body) to not just be wrinkled up (pieces) and the flannel will hold nicely
