Very pretty quilt top! Did you make 4 patches, 9 patches, or strips of squares?

If it's going to be quilted on a domestic machine, just make diagonal lines (corner to corner) or Xs (corner to corner and then corner to corner).

If it's going to be longarm quilted, an overall pattern would be perfect!

That is my kind of quilt. Love the random colors.
I would quilt it in just a random Loop De Loop or meander. You have lots of suggestions here.

Your quilt brought back pleasant memories. My MIL used to make quilts for all her kids and grands. She just used whatever she could find and had no design but they all turned out beautifully. She tied hers and now grands are 50+ years old and the quilts are still around. Course she used polyester.

I love your quilt and I would do crosshatch but that is because I can't seem to get the hang of FMQ.

WOW! So many good suggestions. I don't think I could offer any other better ones, but I do love the idea of using a decorative stitch to do the diagonal crosshatching.

I agree ... crosshatch would look good on this.

That's beautiful. The pattern reminds me of the quilts my Mother and Grandmother use to quilt when I was young.

What a fun single patch quilt. Any overall design would work well. A clam shell or baptist Fan pattern also. It could also be cross hatched. My favorite would be the Baptist fan for this one if I were doing it, imho. Love this happy quilt.

I agree with SewBizGirl, that would be a great way to quilt it. Or just a all over pattern.
