Default Joann's opening in baton rouge, la

So excited that we are finally getting a JoAnns in BR. I have been driving to Kenner which is approx an hour from where I live. This will be about 20 min. away. They open March 9th.

I hope you won't be dissapointed with the new store. I like most JoAnns but when JoAnns in GrandIsland Ne oponed their new store I was there so able to check it out very dissapointed I actually felt that their old dinky store had more to offer, so to give it a chance I happened in the area right before Christmas and was still dissapointed. Maybe it is just me

The one in Monroe closed a few years ago. We don't have much to choose from these days. BR is a bit of a drive for me. I do order occasionally on line.

I live in Baton Rouge and am happily counting days down til March 9th. Erstan947, we should meet up there! It looks like a pretty decent size store.

I live in Indianapolis suburb of Avon and our JoAnn's is moving across the parking lot into what was a Sofa Express Furniture Store on Feb. 2. There were lots of cars there today apparently readying the stock, etc. However, they say it will have less floor space than the present store which is between a Super Target and an appliance store (HHGregg). I'm anxious to see how it will be laid out. Also, we are having the Super Bowl here just after that and the whole town is going nuts over that. That's all we hear and read about. Hope the weather stays mild.

I'm excited, too! We used to have one up by Cortana Mall when I moved here in the mid-90s, but they closed it a few years later. It was always better than Hancock's (my opinion, of course)! And it'll be conveniently located: a big plus!

My 8 year old grand daughter lives in Lafayette Lousiana, and she called me to tell me when I come visit that they have a NEW JoAnns in Lafayette. Here in the Toledo Ohio area, where I live I just found out that they are closing two JoAnns in this area, and opening one across from a very busy mall, in Toledo. Don't think I will go there that much, due to I hate driving in all the traffic, I would have road rage driving there...LOL But Hancocks is on the other side of town too, so if I can't go to my old local store, and have to drive across town may as well be Hancocks.
