I just bought blades from Harbor Freight - pkg of 2 for $1.45 plus tax, fit my 45 mm Olfa handle just fine, and they ae every bit as sharp as an Olfa. Liked them so well, went back and bought 10 packages.

You got a great value. Olfa blades are quality blades. I would certainly not pass them up for HF blades just to save a few dollars.

I so agree. And look at this way...HF blades may not be available for God knows how long, what with everyone ordering from them. You know Olfa blades are good. I did the same thing 2 yrs ago and still have blades out the wazoo.

buying excellent quality name brand equipment is an investment. no matter how much blades go up in price, pam has her price locked in.

Sounds like you got a better deal, everyone knows the quality of the olfa blades. HF specializes in cheap quality imported tools.

LOL I wouldn't feel too badly Pam, Everyone is buying those blades like crazy but I have yet to hear a report if they last as long, work as well and don't damage self healing mats because they are made to cut carpet. Seems our little QB run on the store made them out of stock on line and almost all locations. They are currently on backorder. I'm not dissing a good deal if these blades are in fact a good deal. But if they don't last as long or damage the self healing mats you may not have paid too much after all :wink:

my thoughts exactly. only time will tell.

I purchased 40 blades on eBay about a year ago, it was $44 +S&H. I always get my blades that way, they are so much cheaper and with a big stock on hand I don't hesitate to get a fresh blade out so less accidents.

The ones I got at HF are the large ones for my Sullivan rotary cutter. They didn't have but the one size. It will be worth it as you say, if there aren't any damages nor will last a while. Hopefully!
