I have so many of everything quilting related my DH doesn't know when or what came in the door last. He doesn't go into the quilt room and I like it that way. Right now I have a Quilt of Valor on the Gammill half way done for his nephew, a lap sized top finished for his sister, her Cafe Coffee quilt, and just started cutting my grandson's Monopoly quilt for Christmas. I still have a queen sized graduation quilt for his daughter to do. I don't get too many complaints about quilting supplies. We are getting ready to move and I told him you can sell anything of mine that you want to, anything, but the quilt stuff is off limits. I have several collections, music, coins, collectables. He can sell it all, but don't touch the quilt stuff.

I just had a similar conversation with my darling husband over my "stash", the one I have had longer than him and after 10 years starting to sew again. With each bag from Hancocks, Hobby Lobby, ebay, or other online purchase I like to compare where I am to how much we have spent on his men's league bowling the last 6 years, the fishing, the boat, battery, trolling motor, etc. I love the look of a man with nothing to say and and crow pie spilling out of the corners of their mouth--LOL Now I just get the heavy sigh as he looks at my list of debit card purchases that need to be added to the check register.

A small too box can hold $6000 worth of tools. :D Most big shop size tool box cost about $6000 or more. They have speakers and docking stations build in now. And they are pretty too. My DD bought Craftman and Snap On tool chests, the small ones on wheels and the big ones that look like wardrobe cabinets for her new step sons bedroom furniture. They can't tear it up and the chests will go right to their first garages and probably to their sons.

I think I made payments for years on the Snap-On tool guys truck. The tool box and tools were valued more than the house we were living in at that time. Then there's always the extensions and added accessories to hold more tools, then the additional tools to fill those spaces. It is never ending. Sound familiar??

The toolbox is as long as our S10 pickup and then there are 2 smaller roll abouts. If I remember correctly he said he bought them from Matco Tool. And then there are the tools on top of the price of the toolbox. When he retires it is going to take a semi truck to get it all home and then I have no idea where he is going to put it. It is a 20 year collection. LOL

All you ladies have great answers for your husbands, unfortunately mine doesn't spend a dime!!! He loves to read...but he only reads books that he gets from the library and used book sales (.25cents), so It seems as if I am a spend thrift to him, I spend about $20.00 a month on average.
