Default Giant wall decoration safety pins?

I've noticed on sites such as Pinterest for the last couple of months that some women have giant safety pins on their sewing room walls for decorations. How cute!! But I've never seen them in stores....does anyone know where these are from? I'd sure love to have a couple for my wall.

Try www.ballarddesigns.com under “ set of 3 safety pin plaques” but they are a bit pricey at $61.37. Maybe someone else knows of a less expensive source.

I've seen them at Hobby Lobby as well... they are cute. Good luck with your search.

I am so lucky - I have a large "safety pin" that my mother forgot was attached to her swimsuit. They were used as the reminder of what basket a person's street clothes were in at a swimming pool she frequented in the 1930's-1940's. Whe she took it back they said to just keep it because they had already replaced it. She was charged $1.00 for a replacement fee which she was happy to pay because she really liked the pin. The safety pin is about 5" in length and has a number tag attached to it. It is not as large as the decorative ones being sold today but sure has history and memories attached to it for me.

Just a thought but those decorative pins would make a cute hanger for small quilts or wall hangings.

Ballard Designs also has a set of 3 "decorative" pins for $45. They look to be just the pins, not mounted on anything.

Amazon has a set of two pins for $24.95. Just search at Amazon for metal safety pin wall decor.
