I couldn't help myself...I wanted the fabric so bad...I knew if I wrote a check he would see but the credit card he wouldn't see till next month!!! I am so horrible...I only get to the fabric shop once every 3 or 4 months and just couldn't miss this chance..I will tell him but just not now..am I a bad person!!I do have an addiction....

I, too, have the same problem. My local quilt shop had a sale today for 60% off Christmas fabric. My total for my shopping spree was $278.00. It was like I had never seen the fabric before and just had to have it. One point is that I work at the shop and had helped unpack it and put it on the shelves. At full price it was really pretty, but at 60% off there was nothing I could do but take all of it home with me. I should feel bad, but I look at the fabric and just giggle. I really love all of it and can't wait to figure out what I'm going to do with it.

I am with you Diannemc. My hubby is always warning me to watch what I spend on fabric.

But.......the thought of passing up fabric at a fabric store is unthinkable. I too hit the 75% off christmas fabric sale her in S.C.

I have a habit........It's not smoking. It's not drinking and it's not drugs....but I am addicted to fabric! At least it is not a bad vice huh?

Oh dear... lol! Been there too.

There's something so entrancing about new fabric on a bolt... in baskets... FQ... Charm Squares... cough.... and when you don't get to a shop very often... you're definitely not a bad person... I blame the fabric.

Although I did get the money together to pay off the card before the interest kicked in, I just told my DH, "I don't drink or smoke and never taken drugs... I have to have ONE VICE in my life!"
He just smiled, and the money I'd gotten together to pay the credit card... gave it me back and told me to go and get some more fabric!!

Wish I'd a known that before-hand... I might have spent a bit more lol!

Dianne,

I don't think you're a bad person and believe me, I completely understand, but what if your DH said not to use the credit card because it's at the limit and your purchase took it over and will generate late charges and possibly higher interest? I truly hope that's not the case and you can enjoy your fabric without feeling guilty about it.

I do understand; I don't get to fabric stores very often either and I want (need?) to take advantage once I'm there. I don't know if it's an addiction, but if not, it's awfully close. :?

I don't work at a fabric store, I would never take any money home! I did HAVE to buy some fabric at Hobby Lobby the other day! It was ON SALE from $13 to 5 a yard. What can I say? I bought the whole thing, less than 3 yards.
