My grandson who is 6 loves turtles. I would like to make a turtle quilt for him for Christmas. Does anyone have any suggestions for a block or quilt? I would greatly appreciate any help offered. Thanks in advance for your help.

If you google turtle block patterns many are out there. Most involve paper piecing, which is an art I'm not familiar with. :-) There are many fabrics with turtles on them.

You could use a turtle design from a coloring book and appliqué it, I have even taken my tracing and enlarged it, turns out cute. Share with us when you decide. I would love to see what you make.

The current issue of Quiltmaker (Sept/Oct'll,No 141) has one called Pokey Patch on page 42, that looks real cute.

There was a turtle quilt posted on here not too long ago ... I'm thinking the last week or so?

Maybe the search function would find it for you? Or someone will have it bookmarked?

I really like that rag quilt from Simplicity and it seems very age appropriate. Next year when he switches to dinosaurs, you will have that covered too! LOL
