Now that I have your attention hehe. I will tell you I have to be nuts. I work with a young youth group in my church and I opened my big mouth to say let's make quilts and teach the girls to sew. Well guess what they agreed and it is my job. Well we are also making fleece tye blankets too. Which is no biggy. I have four of the 15 girls who can't tye knots that I am working with. They are 5-7 years or so. Well on Monday I got the final say on who gets the quilts and the colors.( by the way thank you all soooo much to those who have sent us fabric you have no idea how much of a life saver you were the fabrics are exactly what we needed.) I have one guy quilt and two ladies and one baby quilt. The guy quilt is basted and ready for quilting. I have one ladies quilt cut out and partly sewn together and have one baby quilt that I am getting ready to starch and cut out the squares. I have the second ladies quilts fabrics picked out and will be cutting them hopefully Saturday. Everything has to be done by Monday at 3. The guys quilt I am going to have the girls put the binding on, the first ladies quilt going to have them quilt the second lady quilt and baby quilt going to have them piece it. We have already had one 30 min block that the girls have already sewn the guys quilt together.( thank you to the wonderful lady who sent the star blocks with fabric for a guys quilt. They were perfect. The girls were able to piece them all together 3 weeks ago.) So I have to be absolutely nuts to have taken this on but I am loving every min of it. Except for having thrown my back out last sat. Can only sew and cut for about 30 min at a time till I have to lay down flat to get back to relax. I will be posting pics later next week of it all.
