I am working on some I-spy quilts and at the last minute I bought a couple of alphabet panels. I decided I would put each row of the alphabet in the borders. Question- Do I put the letters facing into the quilt, or outside the quilt? I am thinking, facing into the quilt. Let me know what you think? Do you need pictures?

I visualize it the same way. I think it may read "too busy" if facing out.

I would put them facing out. If you're looking at the quilt the letters across the bottom should be readable. They won't be if they're upside down. No matter which way the quilt is turned the letters along the bottom edge should be readable.

Facing in. The kid can turn the quilt around and look at all the letter.

Cut the strips the width you need and audition them.

Decide which way looks better to you.

    This is something to consider.
