Default I just want to make ALL the quilts!

Gah! I have 7 quilting WIPs (works in progress) and can think of 6 or 7 more that I really want to make RIGHT NOW! LOL! It's an illness I tell you. hahaha...

Please tell me I'm not the only one with this problem. I know I'm not, I've seen some of your sewing rooms.

And how do you "treat" this illness? Do you just start them all anyway even though you can really only work on one at a time? Or do you work on one at a time? Or do you start a few and work on them for a while and then start a few more, and just hope to eventually finish some of them?

The fact that I got 2 new templates doesn't help any either. They just added at least 4 projects to the wish list right away.

I may be beyond help. LOL!

Ah the world of quilting.... it is therapy and at the same time it is a sickness.

I will not list my UFO and WIP and my 'to-do' list is soooooooooo long. I can only sew one at a time on my machine.

I'm all over the place with ideas, wips, design boards, folders and magazines and books and patterns and fabrics and well, you get the picture. I bounce all day every day from one project to another!

You are the only one!! LMAO. If I could do nothing but quilt, had all of my food brought to me and only had to get up to iron and go to the bathroom for the rest of my life - I couldn't do all of the quilts I want to do. The worst part is I probably have enough fabric to do that! I just do what I can. Normally I will pick one and then try to hurry and finish it so I can start on the next most exciting quilt I have ever seen or sometimes I put that one away and still go onto the next. No rhyme of reason just what the mood is I guess. In addition to my regular job I also work part time at a quilt shop and I do have to make at least 2 projects a year for them (spring and Christmas) so I get at least 2 quilts a year done!!!

I work on 5 or 6 projects all the time. Right now I have two quilts ready to be layered, basted and quilted. Will work on that process this weekend. I have two BOM that one is current and the other is 3 months ahead of schedule. The applique/pieced quilt is a work in progress - have the stems to figure out. Make two American Girl doll outfits every month for Christmas presents and will be starting a foundation strip pieced quilt this week. I also crochet around receiving blankets and usually have one in progress. That way I always have something to work on either by hand or machine depending on my mood. You are right quilting is an illness that is treated with fabric therapy! Enjoy all your projects and have fun with the love of creating!

I usually only work on 2 ata time. One 'main' quilt and another top that I cut out completely and sew as an 'enders and leaders' per Bonnie Hunter. I just make sure that the 2 quilts are totally different color schemes so I don't get confused. It's amazing how this bonus top gets done.

I have several going at one time...one that is hand- appliqued, several BOMs ,and one or 2 piecing. I throw in a charity quilt now and then. I get bored if I work on the same thing all the time.

So many beautiful patterns, that it is hard to not want to try thrm all. I get several pieced and then feel guilty for not getting them quilted. Have to force my self to stop and get caught up every now and then. No doubt that quilting is addictive and going to a fabric store is as bad! Can't resist. We could be addicted to somethng worse!
