oh, yeah: Most of us have done that!

I did it on my first quilt, a lap quilt no less! I cut it wrong once, then remeasured and cut it wrong again! Had to go buy more fabric.

Oh yeah! I feel your pain.

I came up short on the backing for a queen sized quilt awhile back and all that I did was add a strip in the middle of the backing and all was well! Besides, who is going to see it!

Just had a similar experience although it wasn't a cutting error. I beleived the person in the LQS as to yardage. Needed to buy more. I ended up having to piece the extra yardage and then I added to the middle as Debd suggested.

Been there, done that. Its just a way of making you use your "noodle" as my Mom used to call it. Get creative and move forward...it will all work out!
