Default What should my husband get me for my birthday?

May 14th is my birthday. May 13th is Mother's Day. What should I ask for on my two special days? Two prepaid Visa cards so I can online shop at quilting shops and at LQSs or have him take me two hours out of town to my favorite LQS so I can pick out fabric for a couple of quilts? If we go out of town, we hit a casino and can eat the buffet, but if I have the gift cards, I'm not limited to one store. I can buy scissors and fabric or anything...maybe an Aquiquilt (I'm dreaming big). So, any suggestions? My husband always makes a big deal over Mother's Day and my birthday and with them right next to each other...SCORE!!!

Personally, I would go with the gift cards just so you can buy what you want now and if you have any left over, stalk daily deals until you use it all.

Either, or, sounds fine to me. I'm sure you will make a good decision. Happy b-day fellow Taurus!

    I'd choose the gift cards.

I would probably chose the trip, then he gets to share your enjoyment of the time together as well.

Why not both. Tell him you would like the Visa gift cards & express you would like him to take you to the fabric store to check out the fabrics. If you don't find what you want there or only part of what you like, you can use the rest of the cards on line. That way you can have your cake & eat it too.

LOL. Enjoy your day! I always tell DH I already bought my birthday, Mother's Day, Anniversary, Valentine, Christmas, New Year Eve, St. Patrick's, Halloween, President's Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Easter, and Thanksgiving gifts, he doesn't have to do anything but give me a hug. Works for him and really nice for me.

you gave me a good idea I'll try telling my kids and husband to. my birthday is the 12th. I always ask for gift cards to the shops around here but they don't get any . they always give nice gifts but not what I really want . thanks I'm starting to dream too.I have a birthday month and that means that my husband gives me a gift every day all month and I love it . last year he got a lot of things that go with sewing like bobbins.thread, candy, pattern book. gas card. I think he does it because mothers day is so close but I have to say I like getting older because I have a hole month of opening gifts joanie
